01 · How the system works
What to check in the United States
🚩 There is no federal ministry of education recognition in the United States. What matters is institutional accreditation by an accreditor recognised by the US Department of Education or CHEA — that is the thing employers, licensing boards and other universities check. AACSB is a business-school badge, not government recognition, and a school can be excellent without it. For a foreign qualification, a NACES-member evaluator writes the assessment.
If you take a qualification abroad and bring it back here, it is assessed by a credential evaluation service accredited by NACES — WES, ECE and others. There is no single federal authority. The process there: Credential evaluation. All 104 countries are mapped here.
